The essentials that Wooden advocates here are humility and gratitude. And this is the reminder in leadership we all need. Many get caught up in the trappings of power and notoriety that accompanies leadership. Simply put, leadership in its purest form is not about you. It’s about serving others. Everything in between are God-given gifts and opportunities to make a difference. In leadership, don’t forget the essentials. They will keep you grounded.
